Although it is possible to take three tests in a single day, this can cause high stress levels and impact the quality of the test. The professor may not be able to give an additional test to make up for the missed day. Students must go through the course material prior to taking the exam and practice their German skills. The test is a written test that tests your ability to read, speak, and write German. The results of the test are given using a scale of A1 to C2. Students who pass the test are awarded a Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate certifies the that they have achieved the level of A1 in their language. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competence laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The exam is free. Fees If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to be awarded an Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you'll need to pay the exam fee.
